Facts, figures & data
niceshops - a sucess story
It all began in 2006 when niceshops founder Roland Fink started shipping nutritional supplements from his in-laws' basement in Klause near Bad Gleichenberg, Styria. Equus Vitalis quickly followed VitalAbo as the second online shop in 2007. The foundation for today's niceshops Group was finally laid on 22 December 2010 with the establishment of niceshops GmbH. The product portfolio has steadily grown since then. In 2020, niceshops surpassed 100 million euros in turnover for the first time, and in 2023, it was around 140 million euros.

The top priority at niceshops is to avoid generating unnecessary waste in the first place. With that goal in mind, all products in their online shops are described in detail both in words and images while customer's queries are answered in 16 languages by email or phone.
These and several other measures have led to an exceptionally low returns rate industry-wide (just under 3%), although returns are still free of charge for niceshops customers.

ENVIRONMENT AND CLIMATE PROTECTION
Strong climate awareness: A sustainable competitive edge
Protecting the climate is deeply ingrained in our corporate philosophy and we have implemented our successful sustainability strategy of "Avoid and Reduce" across our online shops.
Thanks to the photovoltaic system on the roof of the logistics centre in Saaz, we produce more than half of our electricity needs ourselves. We heat and cool the building infrastructure with waste heat sourced from our neighbouring farmer’s biogas plant. The niceshops packaging is made up of 99% plastic-free, biodegradable materials. In Graz, we deliver our parcels using CO₂-neutral bicycle couriers for an additional charge. And these are only a few of the many measures we are actively taking to protect the environment and climate.
